Flute ~ Recorder ~ Voice ~ Marimba

Planning a wedding or other event
in the San Juan Islands?
Whatever your favorite style, I'm happy to discuss musical possibilities for your:

  • Wedding and/or reception
  • Renewal of Vows
  • Gallery Opening
  • Private Party
  • Living Room Concert
  • Memorial Service
  • House Warming

Filled by the breath of life, the flute has a beautifully pure sound. I enjoy playing solo, and am quite happy creating music in and for the moment. If you like, I can enlist one or more of my talented friends to join me on violin, flute, guitar, or other instrument. With enough advance notice I may be able to create an original arrangement of your requested piece.

Feel free to contact me about adding the healing presence of live music to your event.

If you're coming to the San Juans from the mainland, I can help you connect with other locals who specialize in wedding planning and catering.

 - "Everything was wonderful....It was perfect for our wedding and our family commented how nice everything was....I will definitely recommend you in the future."

"You played the whales voices, the eagles, and the ocean... and yourself... thank you."

I'm an alto with Lopez Sound, an a capella octet, and we sing everything from early music and Orthodox chant through contemporary jazz and pop hits. Our summer concerts pack Lopez Community Center to the doors, and our annual winter concert series at historic Center Church is considered by many a high point of the holiday season.

Lopez Sound is occasionally available for private bookings; contact me for information.

"....it was incredible. You all were relaxed. Your breath was coming together. Your intonation was RIGHT on. But best of all you were listening to each other and you were in love and it was like listening to ONE voice. Only one voice. I was just truly blown away and best of all I was transported."

Hawk Arps is one of the most exciting, talented musicians I've ever heard, and also a really great guy. When he's playing Stella, his vibraharp, and he starts to jangle kinda loose and you hear his breathing change, GET READY because you are in for some very special music!
